GREEN HORNET MOVIE GETS THUMBS UP FROM ROOSEVELT STUDENTS

The box-office blockbuster hit, the Green Hornet, was released in the movie theaters for the general public’s viewing on Jan. 14 and continues to get positive reviews from teenagers who are looking for a movie that fuses action with a bit of comedy.
The much anticipated movie starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou was directed by Michel Gondry and is one hour and 48 minutes long with a PG-13 rating.
Green Hornet has grossed an estimated 34 million dollars all over the world. The continent of Asia, has expressed the most enthusiasm in the movie thus far shelling out the most currency to see it, but interest in high in the United States as well. Perhaps part of the worldwide appeal is the fact that the movie is centered partially around a sidekick character named Kato, who was originally portrayed by the late great master of the martial arts Bruce Lee.
“I saw the movie and I thought it was pretty good. It has a lot of action,” Christopher Duncan, freshmen, said.
Most students at Roosevelt seem to like action movies and the special effects and nonstop thrills continue to draw attention.
“I haven’t seen it yet, but I really want to because a lot of my friends said it was good,” Hayley Walker, sophomore, said.
Good movies take a while to be released on DVD after showing on the big screen. The general public will be able to own this movie possibly as early as March according to movie executives.
“Green Hornet was a really good movie. I would see it again if I had the movie on DVD,” Bennie Rodriquez, sophomore, said.
The Green Hornet has been a great hit according to most Rough Riders and a lot of people in the surrounding community have seen it as well. Hurry and catch this movie in the theaters as soon as you can.
