Lunch is a time when students get a break from their busy schedule and when they finally get some type of freedom. But there’s a small problem; lunch is too short. Thirty minutes is too short and is not long enough.
Student lunch length should be longer.

One of the biggest problems are the long lunch lines. The lunch lines get packed and once the students get their food there’s not much time left to eat. For instance, sometimes the bell rings and there are students still eating.
Students come from different buildings and floors around campus. This takes time away from their lunch time. Students don’t get a five minute passing period to get to lunch, so once the bell rings, lunch starts.
Teachers also get the same amount of time as students and deserve more than to just have a 30 minute break. Classes are almost an hour long and over. So why only get 30 minutes of lunch? If students and teachers get stuck in a class for an hour, then they can for sure get the same amount of time for lunch.
Administration thinks thirty minutes of lunch is enough but it isn’t, the students need more time to eat and do what they need to do.
Longer lunches would benefit both students and teachers. Students won’t have to worry about the long lunch lines, getting there to have enough time to eat and getting enough time to get unfinished work done.
