The crowd goes wild, screaming and anxiously waiting for our football teams to run onto that field! “Velt boys velt boys!” The teams run out onto the new TR field, which proudly displays the school’s name.

“I personally think that having this new field will help me work for what I want ten times harder,” freshman Jacob Flores said. “When I go out on that field I prove myself and how I play to everyone. Playing on this turf reminds me that I am now a Rider, something that I have been waiting to be since my middle school years.”
Roosevelt was the third school to get its new turf field, which will allow more practice for the students when the ground is wet or full of mud. Also having this turf will prevent injuries but by also having a leading shock pad with a drainage layer in the ground.
“Kids really like the level playing surface and because of that and many other factors injury has been minimal.” Coach Carroll said.
The project began before school got out and students came back to a completed filed.
“Even though it took a while for the field to get done I like the outcome of it all and now us varsity boys can prepare for the long season ahead,” Varsity player Rodulfo Benavides said.
