On Mar 5, to help the Clear Spring Elementary School’s Dance Steppers Dance Team, students from National Honor Society, Dance Team, ETA, and AVID, and along with groups from MacArthur, gave out a hand to clean the local park.
They were joined by PTSA members from both Clear Spring and our campus and businesses such as Home Depot, Luby’s, Starbucks, and others.

During that time, participants did more the simply clean the park. They gave the park new sand for its baseball field, volleyball nets, planted flowers, and painted along with other things that made its prior appearance very different.
“It was fun, lots of people showed up. It was really heartwarming because I grew up in that neighborhood and it’s always been a rundown park,” senior Ashyln Bain said.
When work was finished, participants celebrated by playing kickball, volleyball and there was even face painting. Then, in the end, Kallison Park was full of life thanks to its participants.
“It was really nice, I think the thing that I really liked was that we came to the place with nothing and bare, but by the end of the day, we had a new baseball field, volleyball nets, a tether ball and a repainted basketball court,” senior Jamie Turcios said.
