The Molly Pruitt library is a sanctuary to many individuals and a quiet place to relax and read a book or two, but since the Library Advisory Committee conference last semester, many people want a change in the library. The committee came to the Molly Pruitt library to discuss ideas for the Library Transformation plan for developing and improving the library space. The committee discussed questions regarding what activities and opportunities students, patrons, and faculty would like to see in the library and what resources they need to do those things.
The plan emerged from the suggestions and feedback from students, teachers, administration, public patrons, and library staff over the past semester. Feedback was collected through Google forms emailed to teachers, from a whiteboard in the library that collected comments from students, librarians, assistant principals, teachers, public patrons, and an instructional technology specialist.
The survey provided many ideas on what changes many would like to see in the library. Funding should be directed for these renovations.
The Molly Pruitt library should be renovated, because, for one, students, teachers, administration, public library patrons and library staff want a change in the library. Like junior, Arturo Hurta who said he loves the graphic novel section and it would be great to have more shelves for more graphic novels.

Second, during last semester, the library had a white board out to get ideas from students, teachers, public library patrons and library staff on what they should improve, a lot of comments said the library should put a second floor, more shelves, and even more books.
Third, getting the Molly Pruitt library renovated will help attract more public library patrons to come to the Molly Pruitt library.
Although, all ideas sound great, school librarian, Mary Jane McClendon said it was just an idea that cannot happen due to budget.
Last year, the library Transformation Plan brought the library a new set of laptops; ideas include designated Teen Space in the library, as well as a Makerspace, and a quiet study area. If they helped to make that happen, they should realize that there is a whole community of book lovers from students to public library patrons, teachers and staff who enjoy going to the library that can help raise money to renovate the library.
