Since Flappy Bird’s deletion, when Dong Nguyen the developer of Flappy Bird removed Flappy Bird from the app store had made many people feel surprised, sad and maybe angry that their favorite app was taken down. Now three years later, Flappy Bird strikes again, with more than 20 re-made apps based on Flappy Bird, which you can find on your mobile device(s) on Google Store or Apple Store.
“When the creator took down Flappy Bird I was glad and happy that they took it down, because people were getting way out of control way too fast,” junior, Gabrielle Flores said. “People were really going crazy, my brother almost broke his phone and pretty much everybody I knew was going crazy from playing that game non-stop.”

During a survey of 61 students: 44 heard of Flappy Bird, out of the 44 that heard of Flappy Bird 36 played Flappy Bird, nine hadn’t, out of the 44 that heard of Flappy Bird 18 thought it was a great idea that the creator took it down, and 26 think it was a bad idea.
“Why I think it was a good idea that the creator of Flappy Bird took it down is because, it was making the Google Store and Apple Store go out of business,”senior Kayla Rudd said.
According to cnet.com’s Daniel Terdiman, Nguyen had 50 million Flappy Bird users and continues to get paid for advertisement for $50,000 per day. “More than 50 million people who downloaded it are still generating millions, or billions, of ad impressions, and Dong Nguyen is still getting paid.” T
hough Terdiman says Nguyen makes $50,000 per day, he also says that Nguyen said to Forbes that he couldn’t confirm the $50,000 number, saying he only knows “it’s a lot”.
