2016 is anticipated to be one of the best years for movies in a very long time. Marvel is releasing great movies and so many other company’s are releasing great movies. 2016 is coming up just in the next couple of weeks, and here are the top 10 most anticipated movies of 2016:
1. Ride Along 2 (Jan. 15) – As his wedding day approaches, Ben heads to Miami with his soon-to-be brother-in-law James to bring down a drug dealer who’s supplying the dealers of Atlanta with product.
2. Deadpool (Feb. 12) – One of the most anticipated movies since its first leaked footage on youtube, and one of the most famous comic book characters comes to life on the big screen this February. Former Special Forces operative Wade Wilson is diagnosed with cancer in his liver lungs and prostate, leaving him subject to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers and adopts the alter ego Deadpool.
3. The Divergent Series: Allegiant (March 18) – Beatrice and Tobias venture into the world outside of the fence and are taken into custody by an agency known as the Bureau of Genetic Welfare.
4. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25th, 2016) – One of the most anticipated movies of all of 2016. A lot of questions if Ben Affleck can handle the role of Batman, but the audience will see how this all plays out in march, 2016. Fearing the actions of a God, vigilante Batman (Ben Affleck) decides to take matters into his own hands to stop the God-Like superhero, but a new threat quickly arises, causing problems for both Batman and Superman.
5. Captain America: Civil War (May 6) – interference in the Avenger’s activities causes a rivalry between former allies Captain America and Iron Man. Captain America: Civil War is as or more anticipated then Batman V Superman by fans. Marvel very rarely disappoints fans with their movies, so all fans are hoping that this movie, will play a huge role in Phase 3 of Marvels movie line-up.
6. X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27) – Fans everywhere were excited to see the post-credit scene confirming X-Men: Apocalypse in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Unsatisfied with the way the world is now, an ancient mutant, Apocalypse, awakens after a few millennia to rid humanity of it destructive ways.
7. Finding Dory (June 17) – Just keep swimming with this upcoming sequel to one of Pixar’s most successful films ever. The friendly-but-forgetful blue fish reunites with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way.
8. The Purge 3 (July 1) – No plot information released at this time, but director of the last two Purge movies, James DeMonaco will be directing this third installment to The Purge franchise.
9. Suicide Squad (August 5) – Announced at Comic-Con San Diego in 2015, Suicide Squad has been one of the most talked about movies in a very long time. Featuring fan favorites from DC comic books, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and the Joker. A secret government agency recruits imprisoned villains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for freedom.
10. Doctor Strange (Nov. 4) – Probably the most anticipated movie of 2016, and most popular Marvel comic books ever, is coming to Marvel’s cinematic universe. After his carer is destroyed, an amazing surgeon gets a new life when a sorcerer takes him under his training and trains him to defend the world against evil.
