The new Teen Nick show Open Heart is set to end its first season on Tuesday. The show premiered on Jan. 20. It is about a young girl named Dylan Blake (Karis Cameron) who finds out her dad went missing and hasn’t returned back to the hospital. Blake goes a quest to find him after the cops dropped the case on her dad.
The first episode of the show was called “Last things First.” Open Heart has been in the developmental stage since 2008.
Blake takes on the case of her missing father and gets mixed up in the wrong crowd and is given court-ordered community service at the Open Heart Memorial.
Throughout the season Blake was trying to get her friends Wes, Makayla, and Seth and Seth’s cousin to help steal money out of the safe to give to her father’s kidnapper. Wes got the money and threw the bag at Dylan to take to Veronica so she could see her dad again.
When she finally gets to see her dad, the plot takes another turn, and the season is set to end this week.
This new teen series is addicting from the first episode, leaving viewers waiting to see the next season if the cast and crew plan to make another season to see what else will happen. I wonder if Dylan will get to see her dad in person again or if he will come home for good.
