As the JROTC teams reach the end of the school year, they will be taking on nationals.
“San Juan Guard and Riderettes both hold extra practices to continue to prepare themselves for nationals competition,” Mst. Sgt. Johnson said.
They’re staying the night in the ROTC building tonight and leaving from here around four in the morning to make it to the airport before their first flight leaves at 6:50 a.m. They will be landing in Louisville,Kentucky at 11:50 tomorrow morning.
All cadets who are preforming and the instructors will be staying at the FrenValley hotel and preform at Broadbent Arena. Thirty-four cadets are going along with all three Army instructors.
“It’s such an amazing feeling to know how hard both teams worked to make it this far not only as separate teams, but as a family,” First Lieutenant Steven Guerrero said.
